As the curtains close on another remarkable Art Basel, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our latest creation – the adjustable Dad Cap / Kartier. Though I was unable to attend this year’s Art Basel, I have always been an active participant in the captivating events of UNTITLED Basel, masterfully orchestrated by the dynamic duo, Yannick and Aaron. One of the most intriguing aspects of this show is undoubtedly the diverse array of attendees. Basel, it seems, undergoes a transformation during this time, as people from all walks of life converge, donning unique ensembles that embody the essence of glamour. For a watch enthusiast like myself, it becomes a veritable paradise for spotting exquisite timepieces. The gallerists, in particular, exhibit impeccable taste, adorning themselves with stylish attire complemented by a selection of cool watches.
Our collaboration with the talented artist, Felix, owes its origins to Art Basel itself, where our paths fortuitously crossed for the first time. Immediately, I could sense the incredible energy emanating from Felix, coupled with his unwavering passion for creating art pieces. He himself sports an older Omega watch, which only adds to his aura. During our initial encounter, Felix shared with me his remarkable projects, and to be honest, I couldn’t fathom that he would agree to collaborate with us. However, his unique approach, which involves subtly altering the logos of renowned brands through misspelling and reinterpretation, breathes new life into the fashion landscape. As you may already know, our love for clothing and life’s exquisite treasures aligns perfectly with our desired lifestyle. With this collaboration, we wanted to infuse our designs with that extra touch of distinction.
I envision our Dad Cap being worn during leisurely strolls along the sun-kissed beaches of Marche, Italy, or perhaps as a stylish accessory while exploring the enchanting streets of Florence. Its versatility and timeless appeal make it the perfect companion for any adventure, elevating any ensemble with its effortless charm.
